What You’ll Learn
Training addresses the responsibilities of armed private security work, including:
-
Legal responsibilities and use-of-force concepts
-
Officer safety and professional conduct
-
Firearm safety and handling
-
Required classroom instruction and written assessments
-
Firearms proficiency and qualification
Initial tuition includes the required curriculum, classroom instruction, classroom fees, written examination, and firearms qualification.
Range facility fees are separate, vary by facility, and will be explained during class before students attend the range. Contact the Academy before your class for equipment and ammunition requirements.
Required Psychological Evaluation / MMPI
Students pursuing a Texas Level III security officer commission must meet applicable Texas DPS psychological evaluation requirements.
The psychological evaluation/MMPI is separate from course tuition. Look for the Online MMPI Evaluation product in our shop to purchase this service for $225, including Guardian’s administrative fee.
Guardian connects students with independent medical providers offering online evaluation services. After your class and evaluation payments are completed, we coordinate the referral and scheduling. The assigned provider will contact you with appointment instructions and any additional steps.
Guardian does not administer, score, or interpret the MMPI. We handle administrative coordination and work with multiple independent providers. The medical provider conducts the evaluation and determines the findings. Appointments depend on provider availability.
Two Ways to Pay for Your Class
Option 1: $50 Non-Refundable Seat Deposit
Pay $50 to hold a seat reservation with Guardian Training Academy. The deposit is credited toward tuition and may be applied to any Guardian in-person class, including a different in-person course you later choose. It cannot be applied to online courses.
A deposit alone does not complete registration or assign you to a specific class date. You must pay the remaining tuition balance in full before class assignment.
Option 2: Pay Tuition in Full
Pay the full course price to complete registration for the next available class, subject to minimum enrollment and scheduling requirements.
A $50 portion of the full tuition payment is non-refundable.
Training Locations — By Appointment Only
Our Academy headquarters is in Waco, Texas. We arrange classroom training through available 25N Coworking locations in Texas, subject to facility and instructor availability.
Current service locations include:
All classes require advance scheduling. Your confirmed classroom address, dates, range arrangements, and attendance instructions will be provided before class.
Minimum Enrollment and Scheduling
At least 10 fully registered students are required to schedule a group class.
Our current goal is to hold at least one Level III class per month, provided minimum enrollment is reached and instructors, classroom space, and range facilities are available.
Please plan ahead and allow time for a group to form. Payment does not guarantee an immediate class date or attendance within a particular month. If minimum enrollment is not reached, the class may move to a later month. Guardian will provide scheduling updates to enrolled students.
Private Instruction
Private instruction may be available by appointment for an additional $100, subject to instructor and facility availability. Contact the Academy to arrange this option before purchasing.

Select Initial Training or Renewal/Recertification, then choose your $50 seat deposit or full tuition payment option. Purchase the Online MMPI Evaluation separately if needed.
