Guardian Training Academy connects Texas private security applicants with independent licensed psychologists or psychiatrists offering online psychological evaluation/MMPI services.

The Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) is part of the psychological evaluation process. Contact the Academy before purchasing if you are unsure which evaluation or documentation you need.

How It Works

1. Purchase this service. Complete your $225 payment through our Training Hub.
2. Guardian coordinates your referral. The Academy connects you with an available independent licensed provider.
3. The provider contacts you. Follow the provider’s instructions to schedule and complete your online evaluation.
4. Receive documentation instructions. The provider will explain how applicable findings or completed paperwork will be delivered and identify any follow-up requirements.

Who Conducts the Evaluation?

Guardian Training Academy does not administer, score, interpret, or make clinical decisions about the MMPI. Independent licensed psychologists or psychiatrists conduct the evaluations and determine their findings.

Guardian handles the administrative side of connecting applicants with providers. We work with multiple providers; appointment availability and completion times vary.

Texas Licensing and Guardian Employment

Follow your Texas DPS application checklist and submit the required psychological evaluation documentation through the official Texas Online Private Security (TOPS) portal.

If you will work for Guardian in a position requiring this evaluation, Guardian also requires a copy of the provider’s completed clearance or declaration. Send that documentation to:

Send only the required clearance or declaration. Do not email raw test responses, detailed test scores, or clinical records to the Academy.

• This listing is for Texas applicants. Out-of-state applicants must contact the Academy before purchasing. Service availability requires verification of the provider’s authorization and the applicable state licensing and agency requirements.
• This service is separate from course tuition, range fees, fingerprinting, and DPS application fees.
