This Defencify Training bundle covers terrorism awareness, Homeland Security topics, and professional documentation. Firearms training and live-fire qualification are not included.

Develop your understanding of terrorism indicators, potential threats, prevention, and the security officer’s role in supporting public safety.

Documentation and Report Writing

Improve note-taking, factual accuracy, organization, grammar, and incident reporting. Practice communicating observations clearly and distinguishing facts from opinions.

How This Bundle Fits Georgia’s CE Requirements

Georgia requires registered security employees to complete eight hours of continuing education before registration renewal—not eight hours annually. The Board identifies the renewal CE period as every two years. Required subjects include:

• 2 hours: Homeland Security
• 2 hours: Firearms-related training
• 4 hours: Industry-related training

Employees renewing for the first time after initial registration are exempt from CE for that first renewal period under Rule 509-3-.12. rules.sos.ga.gov

This six-hour bundle is intended to cover the non-firearms portion. Confirm the course credit categories with Defencify and your employer before relying on it for renewal.

Firearms Requirements Are Separate

You must arrange the remaining firearms-related CE through an appropriate provider. Annual weapon requalification is also a separate requirement and is not completed through this online bundle. Coordinate both with your Georgia employer and a Georgia Board-licensed firearms instructor. Georgia Secretary of State

After You Complete the Bundle

1. Save your completion certificate or certificates. Check that your name, course information, hours, and instructor details are correct.
2. Give your employer a copy. Confirm that your training record reflects the appropriate CE categories.
3. Complete any outstanding firearms requirements. Keep firearms CE and annual qualification documentation with your training records.
4. Check your CE Broker record. Follow the Board’s instructions for reporting coursework and completion documents; confirm whether the provider reports on your behalf.
5. Coordinate renewal with your employer. Completing this bundle does not automatically renew your registration or weapon authorization. The Board’s FAQ directs licensees to report CE through CE Broker. Georgia Secretary of State

Who This Bundle Is For

Georgia registered armed security officers seeking non-firearms continuing education toward an applicable renewal cycle.

This bundle does not provide initial unarmed training, initial armed qualification, or a new security license. It contains six hours of training.
